Dr. Dorothee Horstkötter is a philosopher and ethicist at Maastricht University in the Netherlands, where she currently heads the Department of Health, Ethics and Society. She earned her PhD in 2009 in Nijmegen and has since been working on questions related to mental health and the neurosciences. Her publications have appeared in Bioethics, Neuroethics, Public Health Ethics, the International Journal of Law and Psychiatry, and the Journal of Responsible Technology. She is also co-editor of the collected volume Parental Responsibility in the Context of Neuroscience and Genetics.
