Dr. med. MA Anke Maatz studied philosophy and medicine in Germany and the UK. In 2013, she came to Zurich for a post-doctoral position in an interdisciplinary project on the conceptual history of ‘schizophrenia’ and also began her clinical training as a specialist at the Psychiatric University Hospital Zurich. There she has led the junior research group “Humanities in Mental Health” since 2020, and is committed to the institutional implementation of participation in research. She is also a co-founder of the Competence Centre Language&Medicine at the University of Zurich.
