Yolande Voskes, PhD, has a background in nursing and mental health sciences. In 2015, she obtained her PhD on reducing seclusion in psychiatry from a care ethics perspective. She is currently associate professor in the Department of Ethics, Law and Humanities at Amsterdam University Medical Centers, and a senior researcher at the mental healthcare institute GGzE in Eindhoven. In recent years, she has developed several care models, including Active Recovery Triad (ART) for long-term psychiatry, High and Intensive Care in acute psychiatry and Forensic High and Intensive Care in forensic psychiatry. At present, she conducts research into the implementation and impact of these models. In addition, she serves as chair of the HIC-ART Foundation, which promotes knowledge development, dissemination, and quality improvement related to these models.
