Charlene Sunkel, Founder/CEO of aves Mental Health, is a global mental health advocate with lived experience of schizophrenia. She has authored serveral papers, served on Lancet Commissions (Global Mental Health, Future of Psychiatry, Ending Stigma), and is Editor-in-Chief of PLOS Mental Health. Previously, she worked with South African govt mental health groups and the Movement for Global Mental Health. Awarded numerous awards for her contributions.
